Sheath In Color

Happy Monday and first full week of April! This year April is bringing so much for me as I’ll be celebrating six months as a blogger and my 33rd birthday! I’ll also be covering some exciting fashion events in Atlanta that I can’t wait to share with you all!

One of the best parts of spring is the infusion of color everywhere you go!  And if it’s one thing that I’m never afraid to shy away from, it’s a little color in the workplace. This Vince Camuto sheath dress from Nordstrom is one of my favorites for that exact reason! It’s lively enough to brighten up a room but is also professional enough for the office. And while I chose not to, it also works well under a blazer.

When I’m wearing bright colors, I like to tone things down with a nude/neutral color on the feet! The shoes pictured here were purchased from Designer Shoe Warehouse also known as shoe heaven for us shoe lovers! Seriously, I can spend hours in there! And I’m a sucker for their clearance section!

Of course, no outfit is complete without accessories! I again went a nude shade with this handbag I purchased a couple of weeks ago from T.J. Maxx.  For work I like something that’s small enough to not be a hassle to carry and big enough to fit my work essentials; and this one fit the bill.

I’ve typically worn the classics – brown, black, tan and white. This year I decided to add some color to my wardrobe. I love it! It just adds a bit more pep to my step. I love this dress on you!
