Life & Love! If you follow me on Instagram then you already know I’m officially engaged!
As cliché’ and possibly even corny as it may sound, I really am excited to be marrying my best friend.
These past five years we’ve experienced extreme highs and some lows in this crazy thing we call life. We’ve laughed, loved, cried, and everything in between. More importantly, we’ve grown, pushed each other to be better, and been each other’s biggest support system along the way.
Today we stand individually, content with who we are, ready to embark on this next chapter of our lives together.
I’ll be 35 years old when I get married. Suffice to say, I’ve been through my fair share of relationships and learned my fair share of lessons. When I initially sat down to write this post I thought I wanted to talk about some of those. However, I’ve instead decided to share the most important life & love lesson I’ve learned over the years.
Let me give the disclaimer by saying I’m no expert in the relationship department. However, what I know for sure, and what I feel confident sharing, is that you don’t have to stand in place waiting for love to find you.
Don’t pass on that new job, great opportunity, or relocation for fear of missing out in the love department. I’ve never been one to stunt my personal or professional growth for the sake of a relationship and I have never regretted it.
Live your life, seek out new hobbies, get involved in your local community. Keep busy becoming the woman you want to be, and if you desire marriage, the woman you want your future spouse to marry. Before you know, he’ll be standing right in front of you and I’d hate for negative energy to block that blessing!
