It may be short-lived, but Atlanta finally got the memo that fall has arrived! As I drove around town this past weekend, I was reminded that being able to experience and dress for all four seasons is one of the reasons I love living here!
It’s so funny that when I moved here five years ago, during the summer I might add, all I had in my wardrobe were summer pieces! My boyfriend and I used to carpool to work, and when he would pick me up in the mornings, he would look at me and say “I think it’s time for you to get some warmer clothes.”
But I was fresh out of the military (having served nine years) and had gotten used to my uniform and combat boots serving as my go-to fall look! So when the weather finally started to turn cooler, I think I was in denial! But as October turned to November I realized (reluctantly) that he was right, and off I went to add a new dynamic to my post-military personal style! That now seems like forever ago, especially since I’ve come to love fall fashion!
This look is the perfect example of my go-to no-fuss fall outfit of the day; cute, comfortable, and classic! Perfect for your weekend downtime.
The Open Back Sweater –Is great because it has those bell sleeves that I raved about in my last post! It’s also oversized with makes it really comfy, and the neutral color allows you to style it multiple ways!
The Distressed Skinny Jeans – Which is the perfect fit to rock during boot season! I have them in so many washes and colors, and they are a relatively inexpensive versatile staple piece to add to your wardrobe.
The Knee High Boots – Are super cute and even with the heel aren’t bad on my feet! These are boots I can wear if I’m going to be walking around for a while, which I usually find myself doing for the many festivals and events that roll through town this time of year.
The Bag and Hat – Finish off the look perfectly!
